These pieces came about as a case study of the various water fountains that dot the landscape of Flores in the western most county in Europe. These fountains, some of them dating back to the late 19th century once played a fundamental role in the daily lives of the local communtities, providing them not only with water but, in the truest sense of a “a watering hole”, a small respite from their arduous grueling day to day.
